Acousmo is a concert and sound art series focused on intentional listening. It offers a space for concentrated engagement with live sound and aims to counter the fast and superficial consumption of music. In this cycle, Acousmo introduces a new format: each evening begins with two solo performances by musicians or sound artists that are curated by the community. These are followed by an improvised set where both artists perform together. The program concludes with DJ sets.

For this edition of Acousmo, we welcome powerful voices and immersive sound artists alongside three DJs taking us on sonic journeys:

A vocal improviser rooted in Kazakh and Turkish folk traditions and Zurich’s experimental scene for over 40 years. Saadet’s music is a rich tapestry where ancestral memory, blues, free jazz, and avant-garde meet — her voice a living archive of history, pain, and resilience.

Composer and sound artist from Kurdistan, Hardi crafts immersive soundscapes using radio frequencies, silence, and noise. His work investigates themes of displacement, illegality, and hidden histories — transforming sound into a tool for social and political resonance.
