Through the lives and works of talented artists\, we experience the space(s) through the chaotic combination of hope and despair. We engage with voices from Lagos\, Abuja\, and beyond\, each negotiating the tension between dreaming and surviving under the weight of discrimination\, sociopolitical inequality\, and oppression. \n\n\n\nReading by Dr. Adebayo Quadry-Adekanbi \n\n\n\nDr. Adebayo Quadry-Adekanbi is a researcher\, writer\, and human rights and policy professional\, with expertise in gender\, sexuality\, and urban sociology. DESCRIPTION:Weaponizing the art of drag as a medium for resistance. We showcase our experiences as migrants\, refugees\, and victims of injustice and inequality. \n\n\n\nRemembering drag from its origins. From the Stonewall Riots to the AIDS crisis\, drag performers and activists have been among the loudest voices shedding light on issues affecting the LGBTQIA+ community around the globe. \n\n\n\nDrag in general blends art\, activism\, and performance\, and is not just a form of entertainment; rather\, it’s a vehicle for educating our people about our current struggles.  Is drag an effective tool for change? \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nTia Tilapia is a baby drag queen from the Philippines\, inspired by the tilapia fish—accessible to the masses yet capable of refinement and elegance. Her drag blends relatability with elevated artistry\, using performance as a tool for storytelling. \n\n\n\nThrough Tia-Novela\, a satirical improvisational format rooted in Filipinos love for telenovelas/soap operas\, Tia Tilapia addresses social issues while drawing from personal experiences of racism\, discrimination\, and growing up in a machismo-driven culture. Drag becomes both resistance and healing—a space to unlearn imposed norms and reclaim identity through beauty\, wit\, and theatrical excess. \n\n\n\nNow based in Barcelona\, Tia Tilapia continues to develop her craft and explore new performance contexts. She seeks opportunities to present her work internationally\, offering audiences a performance that is playful\, political\, and Filipino coded—ready to swim beyond familiar waters and make waves on global stages. \n\n\n\nAngie Addo (they/sie) aka Coochie Water (they/sie) Angie ist Aktivist*in\, Kunstschaffende\, Sänger*in\, Produzent*in\, Schauspieler*in\, Veranstalter*in\, DJ und noch viel mehr. They lebt in Luzern und hält regelmässig antirassistische und queerfeministische Workshops und verbindet Drag oft mit ihren anderen Kunstformen. Coochie Waters ist eine hyperfemme Drag-Quing mit John-Waters-Schnauzer\, Genderbending-Attitüde und einem politischen Auftrag: Pride ist mehr als Regenbogen undGlitzer\, sondern eine Form von Rebellion. Queer\, Schwarz\, fett – und nicht verhandelbar. \n\n\n\nTabea Rai  is an activist\, cultural worker\, politician\, and drag artist from Bern. Professionally\, they have recently started working as Project Lead for Inclusion at the Swiss National Youth Council (SAJV)\, as well as in member support at ABQ. Originally\, they completed training and further education in disability care and later worked as a trade union secretary. \n\n\n\nThey are a board member of the Lesbian Organisation Switzerland and co-president of Dampfzentrale in Bern. Tabea is also the founder of Milchbar and the anti-capitalist CSD in Bern. Through various projects at the intersection of politics\, community\, and culture\, they advocate for queer visibility and social justice. \n\n\n\nFor six years\, Tabea also had the privilege of being politically active as a member of the Bern City Council and the Grand Council. At the moment\, they are focusing more strongly again on extra-parliamentary activism\, for example as a drag artist. As a Drag King / Quing\, Tabea has been performing for seven years under the name Bartli von Glitzer. \n\n\n\nTogether with Angela Addo\, they co-founded the drag collective Horny Drag Family\, which organises and curates its own events in addition to performances. \n\n\n\nAs a lesbian\, non-binary Person of Color\, Tabea is especially committed to making lesbian and queer diversity visible.

DESCRIPTION:EN : Workshop „Archaic voice journey“ \nIn Saadet Türköz’s workshop\, the voice becomes a space of exchange between participants. She works with a language that does not rely on clear meaning or understandable content. Instead\, its apparent meaninglessness takes on a physical presence\, gradually forming shapes\, gestures and responses. What emerges is a kind of narrative process in which spontaneous reactions and actions create a joyful\, playful and thought-provoking experience. \n\n\n\nThis Workshop requires no prior knowledge and is suitable for everyone. What is needed is openness and curiosity.  \n\n\n\n\nDE : Workshop „Reise in die archaische Stimme“\nIn Saadet Türköz’ Workshop wird die Stimme zu einem Raum des Austauschs zwischen den Teilnehmenden. Sie arbeitet mit einer Sprache\, die sich nicht auf klare Bedeutungen oder verständliche Inhalte stützt. Stattdessen gewinnt ihre scheinbare Bedeutungslosigkeit eine körperliche Präsenz und formt nach und nach Gesten\, Formen und Reaktionen. Diese Erfahrungen prägten früh seine Sicht auf die Welt. Literatur wurde für ihn bald zu einem Zufluchtsort und zu einer Quelle des Verstehens – besonders durch die emotionale Kraft\, die Worte tragen können. \n\n\n\nNachdem seine Familie aufgrund der Gefahren rund um die Arbeit seiner Eltern gezwungen war\, die Philippinen zu verlassen\, wandte er sich in einer schwierigen Lebensphase zunehmend der Poesie zu. Bis heute fasziniert ihn die Fähigkeit von Gedichten\, tiefe und komplexe Gefühle mit wenigen\, sorgfältig gewählten Worten auszudrücken. Seitdem versucht er\, Texte zu schreiben\, die andere auf ähnliche Weise auffangen können\, wie die Poesie für ihn selbst zu einem Zufluchtsort wurde. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\ndispelPerformance von body_hacker und suziethecockroach \n\n\n\ndispel (2026) ist eine klanglich animierte\, textbasierte Work-in-Progress-Performance. Zwei Schwarze queere Orakel-Personae arbeiten bei einer fiktiven Firma namens Nordic Melancholy\, wo sie beruflich Flüche und Prophezeiungen für die dänische Psyche heraufbeschwören. Ihre Online-Figur Bundaskanzlerin versteht sich als Social-Media-Kritik an Deutschlands ausschliessender Politik- und Kunstwelt. Mit Found Footage\, Videocollagen\, Fotografie und Memes entwickelt sie eine Sprache gegen Zensur und greift Themen auf\, die häufig ausgeblendet oder zensiert werden. \n\n\n\nDurch ihre pädagogischen Memes und ihre vermittelnde Praxis ist Naya zu einer der einflussreichen Stimmen Berlins geworden – besonders für Kunst- und Kulturinstitutionen\, die jüngere und marginalisierte Zielgruppen in Deutschland erreichen möchten. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKonzertvon Anouchka Gwen \n\n\n\nAnouchka Gwen ist Singer-Songwriterin\, Bassistin und Kulturarbeiter*in\, geboren und aufgewachsen in der Schweiz und derzeit in Zürich lebend. Verletzlichkeit\, Komplexität und die Emotionen\, die das Leben mit sich bringt\, bilden zentrale Inspirationsquellen ihrer Musik. \n\n\n\nMit ihrer träumerischen\, bassigen Stimme bringt Anouchka Gwen tiefste und ehrlichste Gedanken zum Ausdruck und nimmt selbstbewusst Raum ein. Through tea\, sweetness\, shared presence\, and simple gestures\, it asks: What is the language of belonging? What do we carry in the body before words arrive? What forms of belonging become possible when we gather\, listen\, and care for one another? \n\n\n\nParticipants are welcome to drink tea together and allow themselves to be present in the space\, with their bodies and with one another. They may share a word\, a thought\, sound or a moment of silence. All languages are welcome.  \n\n\n\nAt the heart of the ceremony is a simple invitation: to feel belonging as something lived in the body\, in relation\, and in the many languages of our roots.  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPoetry reading \n\n\n\nby Ethan Dagatan \n\n\n\nBorn into a politically active family\, I spent much of my childhood attending demonstrations and protests alongside my parents\, experiences that shaped my worldview from an early age. Literature soon became both a refuge and a source of understanding for me\, especially after reading and discovering the emotional power that words can carry. After my family was forced to flee the Philippines due to the dangers surrounding my parents’ work\, I turned increasingly toward poetry during a difficult period in my life. I remain deeply drawn to poetry’s ability to express profound and complex emotions through only a few carefully chosen words. From then on\, I began trying to create pieces that could pull others out of the depths in the same way poetry became a refuge for me\, which is why no matter how dark my poems begin\, there will always be something sweet after the bitter.  \n\n\n\ndispel  \n\n\n\nPerformance by body_hacker and suziethecockroach \n\n\n\ndispel (2026) is a sonically animated text-based work-in-progress performance piece. Two Black queer oracle personae work at a fictitious company called Nordic Melancholy where they are tasked with conjuring curses and prophecies for a living directed toward the Danish psyche. Yet\, the oracles are tricked by their own gifts as their oracular power undoes itself through futures that refuse to be known. With her pedagogical memes and adept teaching skills\, Naya has become one of Berlin’s most influential voices\, sought after by art and cultural institutions aiming to engage younger and marginalized audiences in Germany. \n\n\n\nWith a background in gastronomy\, Naya is a classically trained chef de cuisine with a degree in the field. She worked in the restaurant industry until 2021\, notably at Kin Dee Berlin\, established by Michelin star chef Dalad Khambu and artist and chef Rirkrit Tiravanija. While she occasionally continues her culinary pursuits\, Naya’s culinary philosophy extends beyond the kitchen\, viewing food as a catalyst for social cohesion. The Body as Territory deals with the materiality that bodies carry from other territories and how we create spaces within the Swiss territory based on this diversity. In this immersive workshop\, we will experience images in a sensory way and dream of reality through sensitivity. \n\n\n\nThe idea behind the workshop is to create a space to listen to the diverse population. Not just verbal listening\, but listening expressed through artistic experience. The result of this workshop\, in the form of an artistic laboratory\, is a collection of conversations\, sounds\, and interventions in the space. The idea is to invite people to create together in a free and experimental field\, recognising\, above all\, that the raw material of this experience is the subjectivity of the diverse people who make up the space and the importance of their voices. Initially\, we will work with the resource of voice to bring a quality of presence to the space. And in a second phase\, we will use various plastic materials to create an architecture in the space together. The essence of their creative expression is the experience of Art\, Poetry & Nature.  \n\n\n\nDandara Modesto is a Brazilian transdisciplinary artist: singer\, performer and music producer based in Zurich/Switzerland. A researcher of the body and sound\, she works with memory\, rhythm\, displacement\, reverberations\, spatiality\, counter-coloniality and ancestry. Throughout her career\, she has collaborated on various music\, dance\, theater\, visual arts and performance projects in Brazil and Europe. Dandara has produced\, composed and directed soundtracks for films and performances\, such as “Movimento III_Celebration\, post tsunami foams” (Mario Lopes)\, “Afrotranstopia (Mario Lopes\, David Muñoz\, Mahal Pita)\, “Die Schwarzen Brüder” (Mbene Mwambene\, Theater Basel). She was awarded with the Performancepreis Schweiz prize for her work “Neon Bush Girl Society”. In her latest album\, “Estrangeira”\, Dandara reverberates about the female body in transit\, migration and the power of otherness. \n\n\n\nMarina Herías-Sáenz is a systems thinker\, strategist\, and project manager with experience in impact innovation\, entrepreneurship\, and finance. She studied in leading technical universities in Madrid\, Milan\, and Munich. She leads early-stage organizations from conceptualization into action and enables scalable change. Last year\, she supported  20+ startups with storytelling\, matchmaking\, and impact reporting. In and beyond her work\, she lives with conviction\, her purpose of guiding and inspiring others to recover\, experience\, and grow their connection to their environment\, to others\, and to their nature.

My own early years living with elders helped me with who I am today. In my culture in the Caribbean in those days\, older generations were needed\, accepted and respected. Their advice was appreciated. It was simple\, but also made you feel you were being heard and your views matter. One felt good being with them\, their wisdomsank deep into the soul. I still remember to this very day in difficult adult moments some of that advice. DESCRIPTION:Nongoma Ndlovu \nNongoma Ndlovu aka ”Nongoma” is a keyboard player\, vocalist\, songwriter\,Sound Designer\,Sound Engineer\,Djane and producer who was born in Hamburg Germany\, to South African Zimbawean musicians Themba and Bajabulile Ndlovu\, founders of the band Children of Nandi. Being raised in a musical family based abroad and travelling throughout Europe set the foundations for an early career in music that has spanned over a decade. After having moved back to South Africa in 2006\, Nongoma completed here studies at the National School of the Arts and furthered her passion for music through a qualification in sound engineering at School of Audio Engineering (SAE). During her stay in Cape Town (2010 -2012) she featured on various artist projects with Nothende\, Spoek Mathambo\, The Rudimentals\, playing various Festivals such as Rocking The Daises\, Castle light Festival performing alongside Nas\, Wiz Khalifa and Timbaland (2014) and Synergy Festival. A move back to Joburg in 2013 saw the creation of another family related project called KAJAMA \, with her younger sister Nandi Ndlovu. Their debut EP Polarity Prism was reviewed on Okay Africa and Afro Punk online platforms and saw Kajama playing festivals such as Oppikoppi\, the FakuGesi Block Party (British Council)\, the Design Indaba as well as A piece in Art Festival in Basel Switzerland in association with the Goodman Gallery. Nongoma relocated back to Switzerland ans has ben currently working various projects including a Debut Performance that will take lace at Afropfingsten Festival .She is currently preparing to release her second EP title ”Mount Selph Esteem” \, after her debut In the Mirror which rotated on nationial stations.She has starting venturing more into the Djaying Space\,Sound Design \,Theatre Production\,Event Curation and Sound Engineering . \n  \n \n  \nPeyman Salehyan \nPeyman Salehyan is a Kurdish musician\, composer\, and cultural educator currently based in Berlin\, Germany. With more than fifteen years of artistic and pedagogical experience\, his work bridges Mesopotamian musical traditions\, Kurdish heritage\, and contemporary composition. He is particularly known for his performances on the Tar and Setar\, as well as for interdisciplinary projects that connect music with cultural dialogue and community engagement. \nSalehyan studied Music Performance at the University of Art in Tehran and is currently a guest student in Composition at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). As a performer\, he has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician at international festivals and cultural venues in Germany\, Turkey\, Russia\, Iran\, and beyond. His performances explore both traditional repertoire and contemporary interpretations of Kurdish music. \nIn addition to performing\, he is an active composer whose works have been commissioned by ensembles\, choirs\, and media productions. His compositions and scores have been published internationally\, including by Petrichor Records and the UCLA Contemporary Music Score Collection. \nSalehyan has also worked extensively as a music educator and cultural facilitator\, designing and leading intercultural music programs for children\, youth\, and community groups. Through his artistic practice\, he aims to create spaces for cultural exchange\, dialogue\, and creative collaboration. \n  \n \n  \nSeçil Metin \nSeçil Metin is a vocalist\, improviser\, composer\, and sound designer. In this performance\, she presents Mono No Aware\, a live improvisation project where her sound design sketches\, trumpet\, voice\, and electronics shape the music as it happens\, moving between quiet\, subtle\, intimate moments and sudden bursts of energy and raw feeling. \nShe is exploring what’s possible in the depth of “less\,”… this time embracing the vulnerability of being alone on stage\, while mindless and heartful improvisation guides the experience. DESCRIPTION:  \nSUGAI KEN\nA producer who gimmickily electrifies various domestic folklore around a unique style reminiscent of the Japanese night. He also specializes in reproducing insect and bird sounds using only electronic sounds.\nHis 2017 work “UkabazUmorezU” received international acclaim (Pitchfork\, etc.).\nHis work on one of Japan’s best labels\, EM Records\, “Garden in the Night (An Electronic Re-creation)\,” has brought him recognition from core listeners around the world\, and a track from the album was featured on Fabriclive (UK).\nHis music is played frequently on web radio around the world\, including Disclosure’s Boiler Room DJ set in 2020\, and he also provided a curious DJ mix for the Solid Steel (Ninjatune) series that wowed Rob BOOTH.\nIn the 2018 EU tour\, he performed at Cafe OTO (UK)\, which was sold out\, showing the high level of attention he received\, and he performed 13 shows (in 6 countries)\, demonstrating his uniqueness without compromise. She has developed a unique and very expressive style through the harp and its infinite possibilities. In this sense\, she presents her artistic journey\, mainly researching new sound textures through paradoxes between emptiness and noisy textures\, and harmonic and random-spontaneous vertical sounds. Focusing on non-traditional ways of playing – with extended technique\, prepared instrument and with effect pedals (hybrid\, acoustic and electric harps)\, Marina believes that as a woman and a harpist there are many stereotypes and expectations that can and should be disrupted. A cat with a broken tail born of Cairo’s heat and smog. She grew up in noise that gnaws at your bones. Car horns punch like brass knuckles. Shouting vendors wake the dead. Busted loudspeakers burst out discordant calls to prayer like orchestras that never tune. The piano offered her a different kind of melody\, but the guitar taught her how to bleed and write for the loners and the lost. Then she traded strings for static\, turning melancholic musings into gut-wrenching lament. The Guardian called her “something of a musical enigma”. Pitchfork praised her “spellbinding brand of anti-pop”. What you hear is a woman who stitched herself back together with her teeth. She takes the stage\, and it’s a spine-reveal spectacle that might disturb you a little\, but damn if it doesn’t leave you mesmerised. \n  \n \nTapiwa Svosve (ZH) \n(born 1995) is a saxophonist and electroacoustic musician living and working in Zurich and London. He has released work through Graham Dunning’s Open Sound Group net label and Raw Tonk Records\, and was part of “The Tomorrow People“ exhibition at the Elevator Gallery in 2013. He is especially interested in the relations between sound and space and the electronic and/or physical manipulation and abstraction of acoustic sounds\, creating different overlapping layers of small electroacoustic systems.  \n \nPoems by Rohan Zhou-Lee\, gender identity Firebird\, is an international award-winning Black Asian dancer\, trumpeter\, writer\, and public speaker\, with publications\, performances\, and presentations delivered in The United States\, Canada\, Switzerland\, and Japan. In 2023\, they became the first mixed race Black Asian Open City fellow for journalism at the Asian American Writers’ Workshop. Publications can be read on Hyperallergic\, Reckon News\, Newsweek\, and more. They published\, performed\, and received commissions for poetry at Luya Chicago\, Soar Over Hate\, Anathema Magazine (Canada)\, The 2024 Asian Asian American Research Institute at CUNY\, and the 2022 Unite Festival (Zürich\, Switzerland\,) and recently premiered their ballet poem Sandra | Song at the 2025 Aktionstage enough Festival. They are the founder of the Blasian March\, a Black-Asian-Blasian solidarity organization\, which began during the Black and Asian political upheavals of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through protests\, free book fairs\, and performing arts\, Blasian March has earned several awards\, including a certificate from New York City’s Public Advocate Jumaane Williams. Zhou-Lee has spoken on human rights at Harvard University\, Columbia University\, New York University\, Oberlin College\, the 2022 Enough Festival in Zürich\, Switzerland\, The University of Tokyo\, as a keynote speaker at Yale University\, and more.

We’ve developed these varied sound worlds through live performance\, studio recording\, and interdisciplinary collaboration. It offers a space for concentrated engagement with live sound and aims to counter the fast and superficial consumption of music. In this cycle\, Acousmo introduces a new format: each evening begins with two solo performances by musicians or sound artists that are curated by the community. These are followed by an improvised set where both artists perform together. The program concludes with DJ sets. \nProgram :  \nSpaaawn Live\nWAT TAKLAEW Live\nF1-PW\nBaby vouithu\nnikeyy \n \nWAT TAKLAEW: Valentina Demicheli Jitsattayakul is an artist and musician based in Zurich. She is interested in exploring the experience of cultural translation\, origin\, memory\, Western perceptions of other cultures\, and sociocultural identity through her work. Under the name WAT TAKLAEW\, she produces and performs sounds. Drawing inspiration from Thai heritage\, ‹wat› translates to «temple\,» while ‹thaklaew› comes from a Thai boy’s name associated with the concept of militancy. She describes her music as «maranasati electronixx: a mixture of tape mantras\, harsh feedback\, percussive eruptions and karmic cycle loops. \n  \nF1-PV is a Zurich-based musician and DJ who has been making a significant impact on the local and national underground scene recently. Drawing inspiration from his cultural roots in the Philippines\, his sound blends IDM\, breakcore\, industrial\, and tribal music with audio extracts traceable to the indigenous archipelago people or the grassroots genre Budots\, resulting in a dark and captivating sonic experience. \nBaby vouithu is based in zurich and fuses diverse genres such as electro\, breakbeat\, techno\, jungle\, dnb\, rap and bass music into an explicit\, dirty and ravey sonic experience. he uses a musical language that brings different influences together by transcending traditional boundaries. \nSoundcloud \nnikeyy: From Perreo to Trap\, from Guaracha to Bass Nikeyy loves to mix a wide range of genres. He does so in order to create a atmosphere in which you just want to move your body\, dream and create lasting connections on the dancefloor.
